This website

The early-access list

If you join a plugin's early-access list (the "Join early access" pages), we keep your email address, the date you joined, the plugin, and whether you came from the plugin, one of our emails or directly. We use it to send you one email when the paid version is ready, never a newsletter, and we never share it. Remove your address on the same page, or write to us.

Emails we send

We write to a small number of people whose work email address is published on their own website, such as bloggers, newsletter writers and web agencies, to tell them about a plugin that fits their work. We write at most twice, and never again after a reply, a "no" or a "stop". We keep the address, the name and the site we found it on, and the emails we exchanged. Before the first email, an email verification service checks that the address can receive mail. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in telling the people who write about WordPress about our plugins. You can object at any time: reply "stop" and we will not write again.

Emails you send us

If you write to us, we keep the conversation so we can answer you and follow up.

Who helps us

We never sell your information or share it with anyone else.

The plugins

Our free plugins run on your own WordPress site. What each plugin stores, and what it sends anywhere if anything, is written in its readme on wordpress.org.

How long

Early-access addresses: until the paid version opens and we have sent the one email, or until you remove yours. Outreach records: as long as we may need them to make sure we never write to you again after a "stop". Emails you send us: as long as we need them to help you.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete what we keep about you, or object to our use of it. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or the UK, you may also complain to your data protection authority.

Children

This site and our emails are meant for adults who run websites. We do not knowingly keep anything about children under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new one appears here with a new date.
